Air Quality

The air quality in Australian cities is fairly good compared with many of the world's large urban centres. However, there are still days when cities can have air that is unbearable to breathe or be blanketed in thick smog. Australia ranks 10th in the world when it comes to the amount of carbon dioxide produced per capita at 18.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide emitted per person in a year. This is a serious problem in future which is difficult to fix.
